Fifty years ago, the first graduate course in Orthodontics in Brazil was established at the National School of Dentistry of the University of Brazil, located in Rio de Janeiro also known as Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). The educational structure of the Graduate Program in Orthodontics has grown considerably over the years in terms of clinical and scientific aspects. As such, the Graduate Program in Dentistry (Orthodontics) of the UFRJ which includes Master's and Doctorate Programs, currently has a strong national and international reputation, due to the quality of its faculty and its scientific and intellectual productivity. EDUARDO holds a Master and a PhD degree in Orthodontics / Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). Served as a Post-Doc Fellow /Department of Anatomy at the Rush University Medical Center, Chicago, USA. He is currently an Associate Professor at UFRJ. DR. ANTÔNIO CARLOS DE OLIVEIRA RUELLAS AND DR.
