The need for internationally and interculturally competent teachers is rising due to the increasing globalisation of society resulting in increased linguistic and cultural diversity in todays classrooms. As a European mobility and education programme, Erasmus has become a cornerstone of the internationalisation of European higher education institutions over the last three decades. The 16th volume of the study series of the University of Teacher Education Styria aims to disseminate results and products of international cooperation to ensure their sustainability. Autorenportrait

Susanne Linhofer is head of the Institute for Diversity Studies and International Relations at the University College of Teacher Education Styria (PHSt). Among other things, she heads the Working Group on Student Mobility in the Development Network South East (for future secondary education teachers) and works as an expert for the European Higher Education Area on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research.
